Winter in the Okanagan

During the summer one of the most asked questions is, “What are the winters like around here?”. Being from Ontario, my response is usually, “not to bad at all”.  The truth is, winters in the Okanagan can be pretty tough. This morning we awoke to a good three to four inches of the white stuff and I actually found myself yielding a snow shovel this afternoon.  The roads were a bit hairy and walking over to the general store proved to be a bit of a chore. Snow in the valley bottom doesn’t usually stick around to long and spring has pretty much set in by March.  So, make good use of this winter weather, chances are it wont last. Enjoy the skiing.
