HIKING, BIKING & HORSEBACK RIDING

The Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) once linked the vast Kootenay and Okanagan regions of BC. Today, people come to hike, bike, cross-country ski or horseback along the KVR’s gentle grade rail bed. The spectacular route stretches through vineyards and orchards, across the McCullough Trestle and into Naramata, featuring fine views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding hillsides.

Tucked into the hills behind Naramata, picturesque Chute Lake is surrounded by alpine flowers and is naturally stocked with rainbow trout. The lake features a boat launch with up to 10HP motors permitted, and has pedal boats, canoes, and rowboats available for rental. During the winter months, the lake is ideal for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and ice fishing. |
